Hatsie Haran

Enthralled by bright colors, contemporary compositions, and the energy and color of place, Hatsie composes paintings that evoke one simple, delightful fact: creativity exists and we are free to enjoy it. Hatsie primarily paints with acrylic paint on canvas, canvas board, and paper. Landscape, still life, or abstraction—her work reflects the emotion of color and movement. Hatsie is influenced by artists such as Wayne Thiebaud, Mary Abbot, and Mark Rothko as well as the works of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Cezanne and Vincent Van Gogh. She was educated at the School of Fine Arts at Texas Tech University. Hatsie lives and works in Texas with her husband, large dog, and old cat.
